Oral narratives have remained as a means of leisure, edification, cultural conservation, and means of inculcating moral values.
Creativity has been briefly defined as the ability to produce something new through imaginative skill, whether it is a new solution to the problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic object. Creativity results from a restlessness to improve status quo while innovation results from creativity. This restlessness is found in ample measures in children; only it needs channelizing. This is what we wish to undertake. Through storytelling and story writing, we propose to inculcate in the children the spirit of creative writing which will lead not only to creativity but also to innovation.
