Kalp aims at undertaking sectoral studies, monitoring and evaluation in the Himalayan region which will not only help in identifying good practices in the region, but will contribute to the innovation process. Through such attempts it wishes to help government in assessing the effectiveness of its programmes and other such services it provides to the communities living in the region. It will focus on following sector:
• Health, especially women and child
• Education
• Agriculture & Horticulture
• Livelihood and skill development
• Rural/ tribal development
• Gender
• Infrastructure development
The sectoral studies, monitoring and evaluation will not only investigate the implementation of different programmes but will view the policy implications of these.
