Storytelling is the art of narrating the events by making use of verbal skill, imagery and sounds, often through creativeness or adornment. Storytelling as a link for knowledge and understanding connect values of “self” and “community”. Kalp is promoting the art of storytelling by experiencing stories from diverse ethnicities and differentiate the commonalities and dissimilarities in techniques and themes of storytelling. It is discovering the way oral traditions are used to communicate the stories. The aim is to evaluate and compare stories across different cultural traditions.
• Kalp will document, use and fuse the traditional folklore with contemporary storytelling.
• Kalp will facilitate training in, presentation of, and talk about the forms of storytelling and promotes it to help people communicate to the past.
